The archive is an ever expanding collection of stories about a wide range of jobs, and the people who did them. The earliest describe work before the outbreak of World War II and talk about pay and conditions as well as the attitudes prevalent at the time. Subsequent stories show how work and attitudes have evolved – but not always for the better!
